ABOUT THE ROLE


Operating at the highest levels of international motorsport, M-Sport UK delivers programmes across the FIA World Rally Championship, Rally Raid and a variety of global customer racing activities. We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a practical and experienced Site Maintenance Operative to join our Site Maintenance team at our Dovenby Hall headquarters.


This is a varied and hands-on role responsible for supporting the general maintenance, repair and upkeep of M-Sport’s buildings, facilities and wider site. Working across our busy motorsport and engineering environment, you will help ensure our facilities remain safe, functional and well maintained. We’re looking for someone with general building experience who is confident carrying out a range of practical maintenance tasks and repairs. The successful candidate will be able to work independently, use their own initiative and take pride in maintaining a high standard across the site.


The role responsibilities include:


  • General Maintenance: Carry out general maintenance and repair work across M-Sport’s buildings, offices, workshops and site facilities.

  • Building Repairs: Undertake a range of general building tasks, including minor repairs, decorating, plastering, joinery and other associated works where required.

  • Planned Maintenance: Support planned maintenance activities across the site, helping to ensure buildings, facilities and equipment remain in good working order.

  • Reactive Maintenance: Respond to maintenance requests and breakdowns, identifying issues and carrying out repairs or arranging appropriate external support where required.

  • Site Upkeep: Assist with general upkeep and appearance of the M-Sport site, ensuring buildings and external areas are maintained to a high standard.

  • Facilities Support: Support the wider Maintenance team with day-to-day requirements and general site related tasks.

  • Grounds & External Areas: Assist with basic maintenance and upkeep of external areas, access routes, buildings and site infrastructure.

  • Health & Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with M-Sport’s health and safety procedures.

  • Maintenance Reporting: Report faults, defects and maintenance requirements to the Site Manager.

  • Ad-hoc Projects: Support building, facilities and site improvement projects as required.

Essential Criteria & Skills:


  • Building Experience: Previous experience within a general building, maintenance, property or facilities environment.

  • Practical Skills: Good practical skills with the ability to undertake a variety of general maintenance and building tasks.

  • Problem Solving: A practical and proactive approach to identifying faults and finding effective solutions.

  • Attention to Detail: A high standard of workmanship with excellent attention to detail.

  • Health & Safety Awareness: Good understanding of health and safety requirements when carrying out maintenance and building work.

  • Organisation: Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple maintenance requests and priorities.

  • Communication: Good verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across the Maintenance team and business.

  • Driving License: A full UK driving license.


Preferred Experience:


  • Previous experience within a commercial, industrial, manufacturing or engineering environment would be advantageous.

  • Experience across multiple building trades, such as joinery, plumbing, plastering, decorating or basic electrical work would be advantageous.
