He went on to become one of the leading talents produced by the Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy, delivering a standout runner-up finish at the 2024 Rally de Portugal in WRC2. Joined M-Sport: 2024 (ERC campaign in the Ford Fiesta Rally2)
Jon's rallying journey began in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, where he grew up immersed in the sport through his father's work as a local rally mechanic. After early promise on the stages, a shortage of funding led him toward sim racing, where in 2018 he became WRC eSports World Champion, a milestone that helped relaunch his real-world career and led to work as a game designer on the EA Sports WRC franchise. Jon went on to finish runner-up in the Junior WRC Championship in both 2021 and 2022, before claiming the ERC3 title in 2023. A standout 2025 season in the European Rally Championship, driving an M-Sport-backed Fiesta Rally2 to overall wins at Rally Croatia and Rali Ceredigion, earned him a full-time step up to the WRC's top category in 2026, driving the Ford Puma Rally1 car alongside co-driver Shane Byrne.

Joined M-Sport: 2025 (WRC2 campaign with the Ford Fiesta Rally2, via the FIA Rally Star programme)
Romet Jürgenson's rallying journey began in Paide, Estonia, where a chance discovery of the FIA Rally Star talent search while serving in the Estonian Military set him on the path to a professional career. He claimed the Junior WRC Championship title in 2024, sealing the crown with a calculated drive at the season-ending Acropolis Rally in Greece. That success earned him promotion to WRC2 with M-Sport in 2025, campaigning a Ford Fiesta Rally2 alongside co-driver Siim Oja, taking best results of fifth place in both Sardinia and Estonia while also finishing second in the British Rally Championship. Building on that progress, Jürgenson remained with the M-Sport team for a 2026 WRC2 campaign, once again partnered with Siim Oja, debuting the Fiesta Rally2's newly developed upgrade package at Rallye Monte-Carlo.
