CAREERS

ADMINISTRATOR TO THE TRANSPORT MANAGER
ABOUT THE ROLE
Operating at the highest levels of international motorsport, M-Sport UK delivers programmes across the FIA World Rally Championship, Rally Raid, and a variety of global customer racing activities. We are seeking a highly organised, professional, and proactive Transport Administrator to join our close-knit logistics team at our Dovenby Hall headquarters, directly supporting the Transport Manager.
No prior transport or logistics experience is necessary. While any administrative or industry experience is a bonus, a self-motivated individual will be able to teach themselves with our support as they go. If you are an exceptionally organised individual with a professional attitude, strong attention to detail, and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.
The role and responsibilities include:
-
Driver & Compliance Administration: Helping to source contract drivers, organizing their paperwork, and learning to monitor driver hours and tachograph compliance.
-
Invoice Verification: Checking, monitoring, and processing driver invoices to support budget tracking.
-
Customs & Documentation: Learning to create, maintain, and process multiple ATA Carnets and international shipping documents for global events.
-
Route & Logistics Planning: Assisting with planning European transit routes, booking ferries, and coordinating time-critical vehicle and freight movements.
-
Supplier Coordination: Acting as a professional point of contact for internal departments, drivers, and external freight suppliers.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude who understands the high stakes of motorsport logistics and thrives under pressure. You must be comfortable working at pace and adapting to last-minute schedule changes, especially during live events.
Essential Criteria & Skills:
-
Exceptional Organisation: A natural ability to multitask, keep flawless records, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
-
Professionalism & Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a confident telephone manner when dealing with drivers and suppliers.
-
Software & IT Literacy: Strong foundational MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the capability and confidence to use transport-specific software (e.g., Tachomaster) and other tracking systems over time.
-
Flexibility: A flexible approach to working hours; while this is primarily a structured role, live motorsport events occasionally require work outside of normal operating hours.
Preferred Experience:
-
Previous experience in a general administrative, office coordination, or customer service role.
-
Familiarity with transport logistics, shipping, or customs processes (e.g., ATA Carnets).
-
Exposure to transport-specific software (such as Tachomaster) or compliance tracking.
