‘Pedro’ and co-driver Emanuele Baldaccini will continue their FIA World Rally Championship adventure with the M-Sport family next year – contesting the WRC 3 support series with the EcoBoost-powered Ford Fiesta R5 MkII.
Having completed their first year on the world stage, the Italian pairing gained a wealth of knowledge and experience – and became regular point scorers with a top-ten finish on three of the five events they contested.
Stepping up in 2020, ‘Pedro’ will contest a minimum of six events starting with the season opener in Monte-Carlo. A pre-event test has already been planned, and the pairing will be able to progress their development with the same team of technicians and engineers.
Team Principal, Richard Millener, said:
“We saw a really good performance from ‘Pedro’ this season, and I’m really happy to see him and Emanuele continue with us in 2020. This was their first year in the FIA World Rally Championship, and I think they really enjoyed the challenge. ‘Pedro,’ knows how strong the competition is and how vital it is to get experience of the events, and I know he’ll be keen to continue his progress alongside the team next year. He and Emanuele are a pleasure to work with, and I’m certainly looking forward to continuing our relationship next year – and hope to see them continue with some strong point scores along the way.”

“It is a great satisfaction for me to be able to announce this news, and I am really looking forward to continuing my FIA World Rally Championship adventure as part of the M-Sport family. We have a good programme planned with some really interesting events. I will also use the same engineer and technician that I had this year which will enable me to really build on this season. And I know that with M‑Sport I will have all of the technical and human support I need. When you race with them, you really can just focus on doing your best.”
