JUNIOR BODYWORK TECHNICIAN

ABOUT THE ROLE
​
As our company expands, we have an exciting opportunity for a keen and energetic Junior Bodywork Technician to kick start their career in motorsport and join our evolving Bodywork Department. The role will cover workload on a range of our competition cars.
​
As a Junior Bodywork Technician, you will support the manufacturing, preparation, fitting and repair of bodywork and composite components used across our fleet of competition cars. You will work closely with our Senior Bodywork Technician in a fast-paced environment where quality and attention to detail are critical.
​
The role responsibilities include:

Assisting with the trimming, fitting, and assembly of bodywork and composite components.

Perform strip down, inspection and repairs following each event and reporting any faults.

Support the repair and maintenance of carbon fibre and GRP panels.

Prepare components for painting and final fitment.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the workshop environment.

Work closely with our Senior Bodywork Technician to learn the best practices in motorsport bodywork preparation.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
​
We’re looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The ideal candidate will be:

Educated to a technician level, with a basic understanding of bodywork, composites, motorsport, or a related field.

Basic knowledge and understanding of engineering principles.

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
-
Skilled in multitasking and prioritising workloads in a time sensitive environment.

Excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for problem solving.
-
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Preferred Experience:

-
Previous experience working with carbon fibre, GRP, or lightweight panel materials.
-
Previous workshop or garage experience (including college or apprenticeship projects).

An understanding of motorsport environments or race car build processes.
