Everard fired up for FST UK
The used-garage-equipment.com team are all ready for James Everard to compete on the first round of the British Fiesta Sporting Trophy which kicks off with the Malcolm Wilson rally at Cockermouth.
Everard will be carrying out a pre event test day on Thursday at the Greystoke test facility with the new to 2008 converted bio-fuel car. Everard will find an improvement in performance as well as helping to save the planet.
This year’s championship has some interesting changes, as well as changing to E85 bioethanol fuel, the tyre supplier for this years championship has changed to Pirelli tyres, but the biggest change for Everard will be a new navigator. David Jobling, long term navigator, retired at the end of last session and Everard has tried many different navigators to find a new pairing as good as his last. Everard has found this with 21-year-old Sam Collis from Chesterfield, who has turned down a full year in the BRC in a Mitsubishi EVO9 to compete alongside Everard. Collis competed with Everard as a last minute replacement when Jobling fell ill just before the Severn Valley Rally last year and they instantly struck up a very good understanding.
Everard and the team are all fired up and raring to go in this year’s British and Irish Fiesta SportingTrophies and are also competing in the BTIDA championship. With valuable experience gained in last seasons Championship, Everard is looking forward to a successful second season in the 2008 Fiesta SportingTrophy.
