Anders Grøndal claimed another victory behind the wheel of his Ford Fiesta R5 Evo last weekend – winning Rally Sorlandsprinten in his native Norway with former co-driver Roger Eilertsen calling the notes.

Rally Sorlandsprinten is a demanding gravel rally and last weekend’s event saw slippery and wet conditions. Fifty cars took to the start and the rally incorporated four special stages.

Grøndal took an early lead on SS1 ahead of fellow Fiesta R5 driver and compatriot Frank Tore Larsen. Grøndal then went on to win SS2 which gave him a healthy lead going into the second half of the rally.

But the Norwegian didn't want to drive safely to secure the victory, he wanted to show his speed too and went on to win the remaining two stages – a clean-sweep of stage victories putting Grøndal in a league on his own.

Since taking to the wheel of the Fiesta, Grøndal has racked up an impressive record. He has been on the podium at every rally in the Norwegian Rally Championship and finished every event without a single technical issue.
