Anders Grøndal and Roger Eilertsen won Rally Hurumsprinten in Norway behind the wheel of their Ford Fiesta R5 EVO – the first gravel event of their season.

The event has been one of the most popular rallies in Norway and record numbers meant that the organiser had to restrict the number of entries. Only 80 cars were permitted to start the short sprint rally which consists of one five kilometre stage driven three times.

Overcoming the issues that befell his winter season, Grøndal and his team have made a lot of progress with the set-up of their Fiesta and the Norwegian has certainly regained his smile behind the wheel.

His performance at Hurumsprinten confirmed that progress – the Norwegian powering to victory through all three stages.

The weekend produced a dominant performance for the Blue Oval with the Ford Fiesta R5 monopolising all three podium positions. Frank Tore Larsen brought his Fiesta home in a close second with Christian August Selmer concluding the podium in third.
