Kuldar Sikk made his first appearance in the FIA World Rally Championship in 2003, when he joined compatriot Urmo Aava in Suzuki's Junior World Rally Team.
Prior to teaming up with Aava in the JWRC Sikk cut his rallying teeth in the Estonian national championship, co-driving for Valdur Reinsalu in a Ford Sierra Cosworth.
Having moved onto the world scene alongside Aava, the duo secured fifth place driving for Suzuki in the 2003 JWRC. The pair finished eighth in the championship in 2004, fourth in 2005 and were runners-up in 2006 and 2007.
In 2008 Sikk partnered Aava in a 10-round WRC programme, driving a semi-works Citroen C4 WRC.
Having joined Stobart VK M-Sport Ford Rally Team for the 2009 Sikk should feel instantly at home. Before becoming a professional rally co-driver he worked as a truck mechanic in Estonia, which should give him an immediate understanding of his new team sponsor's day-to-day business.
