Jorge Perez Companc began his competitive motorsport career in Rally Cross Country acting as co-driver for his brother Luis Perez Companc at both national events in his native Argentina and international events. Moving into traditional rallying he finished second in the A8 class co-driving for Gabriel Raies and went on to win the title in 2003 and 2004. In 2002 he also completed the Paris-Dakar Rally.
In 2005, again alongside Raies, he added the South American Rally Championship to his list of co-driver titles.
In 2006 he teamed up with Juan Pablo Raies for a one-off drive in the Stobart VK MSport
Ford Rally team at Rally Cyprus but the duo were forced to retire on special stage
five due to an electrical problem.
For the 2007 WRC season Companc was once again alongside Juan Pablo Raies to drive for the newly-formed Munchi's Ford World Rally Team. Their first outing at Rally Sweden ended in retirement. But Raies and Companc returned to finish in twelfth place in Rally Norway and on home soil in Argentina.
With the arrival of seven-time Argentine Rally Champion Federico Villagra to the team midway through the 2007 season there was a shuffle in the Munchi's Ford World Rally Team and Companc took over as co-driver for newcomer Villagra. Completing eight rallies together in the 2007 season Villagra and Companc achieved mixed results but earned their first WRC points at Rally Japan finishing seventh in the Ford Focus RS WRC 06 completing an excellent rally for the Munchi's Ford World Rally Team with Companc's brother Luis Perez Companc finishing fifth.
Companc joined Villagra in the Munchi's Ford World Rally Team again for the 2008
season and the duo had an excellent start to their WRC campaign earning two points
with a seventh-place finish at Rally Mexico before earning sixth-place finishes at both
Rally Argentina and Rally Jordan.
2009 will see Companc back in the Munchi's Ford World Rally team car contesting eight rallies as a manufacturer team. Companc and Villagra will begin their campaign at Rally Cyprus and plan to contest WRC rounds in Portugal, Argentina, Sardinia, Greece, Finland, Australia and Spain.
