M-Sport, the team chosen by Ford Motor Company to mastermind their assault on the FIA World Rally Championship since 1997, has been growing in size and stature since it was originally formed in 1979
under the name of Malcolm Wilson Motorsport.
Ford has finished runner-up in the Manufacturers' Championship on six occasions under the guidance of
M-Sport, but the highlight came in 2006 when BP-Ford won the FIA World Rally Championship for the first time in 27 years, followed by a second title in 2007.
M-Sport also operates a thriving customer business for private teams. It assists Ford drivers with motorsport programmes around the globe involving the Ford Focus RS WRC and the GpN Fiesta ST.
